At two years old our daughter became part of the loving Tender Nest family. One year later my son joined. My children were fortunate to have experienced the perfectly rare and amazing combination of structure and education all cushioned in an extremely loving and caring environment.

Eighteen years later Ines and Harvey still have a special place in our hearts, the part of the heart that is reserved for family. We were blessed the day we met them.

As working parents, my husband and I were faced with the monumental task of finding childcare that would provide the love, support and safety that our children deserved. We were also well aware that we needed reassurance in knowing that while we are away from them they were happy, well adjusted and that they were learning to interact with other children. The Tender Nest gave us much more than we anticipated.

Harvey and Ines’ guidance and teaching enabled our children to be completely prepared for kindergarten and beyond. My family could not have found a more loving couple than Harvey and Ines. Not only were the children in their home but the children were in their hearts (and they in ours).

Harvey and Ines have been caring for our son since August of 2011. We have found them to be extremely kind, loving, and knowledgeable. They provide a safe, structured environment in which the children can learn and have fun throughout the day. Most importantly, our son is happy to go there and we feel comfortable knowing that he is well cared-for and loved.

We feel extremely fortunate that Harvey and Ines have been watching our son. A big part of feeling secure in my transition back to work was making sure our son would be well cared for and loved by his caretakers. They have welcomed him into their lives with open arms and I know he feels the same way towards them.

Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our children. Your dedication and compassion for all your children is limitless. We are very fortunate that our worlds met.

Our son Freddy started his journey at the Tender Nest when he was 10-months old. In a home setting with less children he did not get sick as often. He also received much more tender and nurturing love from Nezzie and Harvey. We saw the difference because Freddy was at a daycare center for a while when the Tender Nest had no openings.

Now he is 6 and a Kindergartner and he still spends some off-school days with Nezzie and Harvey. We are very happy he learned discipline, love and good manners from the Tender Nest.

My son has special needs. He did horribly in a large-scale daycare setting.  After a few weeks at Tender Nest; a calmer, happier boy started to emerge. Nezzie and Harvey cared and advocated for him – for both my children – as if they were family. In fact, I have said that sending my kids to Tender Nest was like sending them to family – but with better structure, gentle discipline and a lot more learning.

My children are thriving now. I attribute much of their success to the foundation they received at Tender Nest.

I can’t express in words how much Harvey and Nezzie mean to me. I truly trust them with my daughter. I am very happy to know that each day I go to work my daughter goes to a place where she is loved. Thank you for all that you do!
